In our earlier newsletter we announced the availability of a continuous liner for Pharmaceutical applications. In addition to the large diameter liner we are announcing availability of continuous liners made from virgin Linear Low Density PolyEthylene (LLDPE) in any diameter and length to customer specifications. Continuous liners are available in selected diameters for our other raw materials such as polyurethane and other antistat films.
Working with our raw material suppliers we are able to deliver these products to you at an economical cost. A 14 inch diameter continuous liner 100ft in length, incorporating the mounting system costs a mere $184. Other sizes are priced correspondingly.
The concept evolved as a new transfer methodology for glove bags under heavy daily usage in dispensing final product for formulation. The design has benefitted from our first generation experience in a production role. The latest design incorporates several improvements making for ease of attachment and usage.
Each liner comes mounted on a core ready for attachment to your process or containment device. The assembly can also be sealed in its overpack and radiation conditioned before shipment.
Typical usage is to extend the usable life of a containment device between replacement or cleaning.
The product will find ready use in applications requiring frequent materials entry and exit to a containment system. Conventional bag in/bag out operations currently limited to only a few material transfers can be extended to cover the full lifetime of the containment system.
This is also the answer to many laboratory applications where dedicated containment devices are used for sample dispensing, splitting, and storage.
Where usable product contact is involved we recommend the use of virgin LLDPE. For routine materials containment we recommend polyurethane.
Many of the flexible containment solutions described on our web page can benefit from the addition of a continuous flexible liner. Routine in-process containment usage such as filter cartridge change-out, in-line solution and solids sampling, seed addition, product rework, sampling formulations during validation lots, and finished goods inspection are likely processes to benefit by extending the usable life of the containment already in-place.
