I’ve been working away on my Success Seminar workbook and I wrote a chapter and put it aside for a day or two and then came back and reread it. It was excellent, and as I read it again I experienced a very weird feeling, because I could not even recognize the writing as being my own; it seemed far superior to my normal writing skills.
I told my son about this phenomenon and he laughed derisively and made some snarky, sarcastic remark about my being humble. I patiently, (well maybe not so patiently) explained that I wasn’t bragging about it; I was trying to understand it. I wondered if God was inspiring me to write at a level above my own limited skills for this important project.
One rock solid axiom in which I believe with all of my heart is that God blesses any effort that is within His will for our lives. The Bible tells us, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. The “all things” referred to in this verse are those things that the Lord wants us to do that are within His will for our lives.
I firmly believe that this effort to teach others what I’ve learned about how to become successful using the Bible as a step by step guide via this seminar and accompanying books is one of those endeavors. I feel sure it will help people in their marriages, raising kids, finding peace and joy in their lives and careers, etc.
I began writing the workbook primarily for the seminar, but now intend to also use it in a prison ministry and recovery center outreach, and a Hispanic friend has volunteered to translate it into Spanish to reach that segment. At some point, the good Lord willing, I will also be offering it to the public at large in the form of a book. To sum it up I am hopeful that it assists many people to become successful by helping them to understand Bible based principles for success and inspire them to use them in their daily lives.
I believe that God will bless this effort mightily. And by the way if you have not registered for the seminar and intend to go, then please do so as there are only a few more days before the early bird 10% discount expires. http://seminar.williamsongroupusa.com
Of course any effort that is intended to teach others how to tap into the bountiful resources of God and reap the harvest of peace and joy in our lives is vehemently opposed by satan and his fallen angel comrades. It comes as no surprise to me that while I’ve been working on this project I’ve come under severe satanic attack and I’m now dealing with serious treachery in my life from those whom I once trusted.
I was discussing this dilemma with a friend who has read my book and understands how I’ve battled my dark side, especially in my early violent days. I told him that I’ve been experiencing black thoughts lately and I know that my dark side is still there and is only being withheld by my unshakeable faith in God. I would like to exact my own personal revenge upon my enemies, but I can assure you that those thoughts do not come from God. They come directly from satan. The Bible tells us, “Vengeance is mine says the Lord. I will repay”. I need to surrender to Him in this regard and let Him deal with it. It is however far easier to say than do.
My buddy remarked that we are but a step away from returning to our old selves and only God can withhold the dark evil inside of us that yearns to be released and overtake us. It is times like these that we must redouble our efforts to suit up with the full armor of God, (prayer, faith, Bible study, Christian fellowship, and righteous living).
It scares me sometimes to think that my old self might be released back into the world again. I would ask that you join me and praying that God might encircle me with a ring of fire and protect me in that regard. Someone sent me a news article the other day with no letter attached. It was about some mega preacher found dead in his hotel room who had OD’d on drugs. His story was eerily similar to mine In that he had been severely addicted to drugs and lived the street life for years only to find God and be wonderfully saved. He went on to get drug free and built a mega church and God blessed him enormously, but I suppose stan attacked him and he couldn’t hold on to God’s blessings. I assume whoever sent it to me wanted me to think about it and possibly warn me to be on guard always.
I told my buddy that I saw that very same thing happen to my brother. He and his family were wonderfully saved and baptized together and he led two years of the good life of bliss that God desires for all of us. And then at a weak moment satan was released back into his life and shortly thereafter he put a gun to his head and pulled the trigger. It was the saddest thing I ever lived through and I still have a hole in my heart because of it.
Satan is never far away and always looking for an opening in our lives. He wants to discourage, frustrate, and destroy us. We are no match alone, especially when we are discouraged, angry, despondent, grieving, or frustrated.
If you are under satanic attack, put on the full armor of God and resist him and he will run for his life. While we cannot defeat satan, Jesus Christ can. Make no mistake about it, satan is not afraid of us in the least, because alone we are no match for him and he knows it. But he is no match for Jesus Christ and he knows it, and is deathly afraid of Him. Sending him scurrying begins with surrendering or submitting to God and then use His strength to resist.
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
