The Retreat House Bed & Breakfast presents a Traditional Afternoon Tea

The Retreat House Presents Afternoon Tea on Saturdays, 3-5 pm in November & December for groups of at least four to no more than 10 people.

The tradition of afternoon tea originated in England by Anna 7th Duchess of Bedford. She was rather fond of having her butler deliver tea with sweet and savory morsels to her sitting room around 4 pm. Soon she began inviting her friends to join her; and thus began the tradition of afternoon tea.

Menu includes a selection of fine teas (of course!) with a finger sandwich of smoked salmon with cream cheese, a finger sandwich of chicken salad with grapes, pumpkin tarts, ginger bread cake with hot caramel & heavy cream, chocolates and seasonal fruit with cookies. $10 per person. Reservations are required. Please call (330) 936-9942

The Retreat House is a beautiful 1860 Italian Renaissance brick home sitting on 35 acres in a rural secluded property. This regal house in a country setting provides a mixture of elegance and a cozy down home atmosphere. This is a perfect place to pause and celebrate life with your friends.

To reserve the dining room for Afternoon Tea, or another special occasion call Daria (330) 936-9942. Please check out our website
