Winter Wonderland in Wooster Ohio!

Winter Wonderland in Downtown Wooster – In case you missed it, Santa and with his reindeer arrived in Downtown Wooster last Friday evening and the square has never looked prettier!  The merchants unveiled their dressed up window displays, we gave out hot cider (until it ran out), and about 250 adults (we didn’t have time to count the kids) browsed the store between 6:30pm and 9:30pm. If you haven’t signed onto our website lately, be sure to do so and check out the pictures from that night.

Holiday Kick-Off Savings – Are you thinking about Christmas yet? If so, then please be sure to support our downtown merchants by shopping locally this season. And if you stop by our store after Thanksgiving Day, you will find some unadvertized special pricing on some beautiful cutting blocks and salad bowls along with some items from two well-known kitchen manufacturers’ items that we cannot name. These special prices will be in effect only while they last so don’t delay.

New Holiday Hours of Operation – The store will be closed on Thanksgiving Day but beginning after Thanksgiving and lasting through December 24, we will have the following hours of operation:

Monday through Saturday – 10 am to 6 pm

Sunday – 1 pm to 5 pm

Of course, if any class is scheduled to be held outside of the above hours, we will be open for those participant only.

Special Activities for the Holidays – There are still some seats in three of the upcoming special December classes. For more information, please click on the class name or give us a call at the store.

Holiday Cookies Basket with Emily Bess – Tuesday, Dec 6 from 6pm to 7:30pm ($22+tax). Surprise your friends and family with an edible basket for displaying your cookies and learn how to make a few holiday cookies as well.

Holiday Yeast Breads with Jennifer McMullen – Saturday, Dec 10 from 9am to 10:30am ($20+tax). In addition to yeast bread, The Grain Maker Jennifer from Local Roots will share her recipes for Orange Walnut Cranberry Bread, Eggnog Pegan Rolls and Holiday Tree Flatbread.

Cookie Exchange and Dialog with Crystal Hibbs (of Buehler’s Catering) – Thursday, Dec 15 from 5pm to 7pm ($5 + 1 dozen cookies). Crystal is a professional party caterer and has graciously agreed to spend the evening chatting with you while we collect and share holiday cookies with each other. Your $5 donation will confirm your seat for this 1st TKS special event.

Here’s hoping you have a wonderful and rewarding Thanksgiving holiday. Please be safe and enjoy the chance to spend time with your friends and family.
