Dover Canal Days this year was a big success. The weather cooperated and the crowds came out. The entire Main Street was packed each evening. The iTownz Phantom had a great time and is happy to report that DiRusso’s Italian Sausage did not disappoint. The price is a little stiff at $5, but there is something about the grill taste that just can’t be easily duplicated. The bun was perfect and the onions and mushrooms added a great flavor as well. This sausage was topped off with a light layer of mustard adding just the right bite to this year’s sausage.
The Phantom also had some handmade lemonade from the lemonade stand directly across from DiRusso’s and it was PACKED with sugar. Even too much for the Phantom, next year the Phantom will stick to a lighter drink or even a bottled water.
The Phantom also indulged in an Elephant Ear which had cinnamon and sugar, but not an overwhelming amount of either. The dough was a little on the crunchy side, but above average for fair-style food.
The lines were not too long for most of the rides, but they were steady and all of the riders seemed to be having a very enjoyable time. The Phantom for one will definitely be back next year!
