It just doesn’t get any sweeter than what the Barn Inn B&B is serving up these days. Located in Millersburg, Ohio, the Barn Inn offers many reasons to visit, but the biggest reason of all, besides the setting and the property itself, is the FOOD! They know how to bring an awesome country-style breakfast, and they serve REAL maple syrup, no artificial fillers or sweeteners here. As Loretta Coblentz, the owner at the Barn Inn tells us, “We serve real maple syrup with our pancakes and french toast; it is very expensive, but there is no substitute for the real thing.” She has shared with us at iTownz her simple but incredibly delicious recipe for maple butter. Loretta says, “Here is my recipe for maple butter, a delectable, woodsy treat that spreads luxuriantly on muffins or toast.”
1/2 Cup softened butter
1/4 Cup maple syrup, room temperature
With an electric beater, whip the butter and maple syrup together until blended. This is so simple, yet seems so elegent when served to guests. Enjoy.
The Barn Inn Bed and Breakfast offers a full country breakfast daily, always serving fresh fruit, locally made sausage along with yogurts, hot entrees, and specialty breads. This is just one of the many reasons that you should visit the Barn Inn when you are in Amish Country Ohio.
